I work both in Cambridge and Huntingdon offering short or long-term counselling to people from a variety of backgrounds, including students and young adults. My aim is to provide a warm, safe and confidential environment in which clients feel comfortable to talk about their lives.
I am a qualified, experienced counsellor and a registered member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP), operating to its strict ethical framework. I am also a member of ASIIP and am interested in Adlerian approaches to counselling and therapy.
Coming to counselling can be daunting and finding the right counsellor is crucial. Building trust and forging a relationship is essential and I am committed to every client - the focus is very much on the individual.
I offer a mix and match style of counselling using a variety of techniques and working with different approaches (in counselling terms this is called an integrative person-centred approach). I feel it is important to recognise that we are all different and therefore we all have different needs – what works for one person doesn’t necessarily work for another. Most of my work is centered around 1:1 face-to-face talking.
My Private Practice includes working with the EAP provider, LifeWorks and I am currently in training to become a qualified Supervisor for other counsellors and therapists with Cambridge Supervision Training.
If you would like to talk to me about how I work and to learn more about counselling or supervision, please phone or text me on 07840 883994, or email me at firstname.lastname@example.org.
